The characteristic of very high-performance concrete (VHPC)

Abstract A Very High-Performance Concrete (VHPC) has compressive strength in the range 120-150 MPa and high flowability. However, there is no VHPC mix as a repairing grout Indonesia. This study presents design of using Indonesian by-product materials to achieve 120 MPa. sequence experimental method determined suitable material replace fine sand, ground quartz superplasticizer. Then, optimum was tested with strength, splitting tensile slump flow, permeability, shrinkage tests. In addition, effect 35 mm length hook-end steel fiber by 2% volume observed. The used cement, silica fume, glass powder binder ratio 3:1:1. sand 0.88. water (w/c) 0.11 superplasticizer accelerator which kept on 4.3% cement weight each. achieved 128 at 28 th day. had whether volumetric or longitudinal. able restrain increased strength. Nevertheless, not recommended because its large size decreased compaction eventually
